My dad is a Police Officer. I find it offending that some people say that the system is corrupted because of something they have been through or encounters they have had with the law. I understand that sometimes cops take things out of line. But Im scared for my father. Please consider the family a cop may have at home or the the man he is outside of the uniform before you disrespect him. That is all I ask.

This doesn’t encourage anyone to be disrespectful toward a police officer. This encourages people to be aware of their rights and do what they can to ensure their rights are not infringed upon. While I’m sure your dad is a great guy and a great police officer, it’s worth considering that some aren’t, and that it’s smart to know how to protect yourself should you find yourself in an encounter with one of those officers.
Haha, cops can shoot a 7 year old in the head but we have to be respectful towards them because they might have families. Riiiiight. I’m going to go by a new rule: if you belong to an organization that pays you money and also commits atrocities on a regular basis, I’m not going to play this bullshit “respect” game with you. I’m not going to pretend like you wouldn’t lie to protect your fellow officers or cover up abuses, because we both know you would.
How ‘bout we all just treat everybody with respect OMGNOWAI.
